Tennessee Small Business Development Center will host a Lunch and Learn Seminar: Preventing Workplace Violence: Active Shooter Preparedness. This event is scheduled for March 8 at 8 am until noon at the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County Baptist Memorial Health Care Academic Building Auditorium. Complimentary lunch will be served at noon in the commons area.

Tickets Available for Wine Tasting Fundraiser at DSCC

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) Foundation will host a Wine Tasting Fundraiser Thursday, Mar. 10, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County inside the Learning Resource Center, room 188.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of wines throughout the night. Proceeds will benefit the DSCC Annual Fund to support student scholarships and programs at the College. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The Dining Room

DSCC Theatre Department presents The Dining Room The Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) Theatre Department is gearing up to present its spring production of The Dining Room by A.R. Gurney.

The cast and crew for the DSCC production include: Angel Hyde of Newbern, Lynn Karlgaard of Dyersburg, Lina Shutts of Dyersburg, Codi Rogers of Brownsville and Brittany Aden of Dyersburg; Chris Reeves of Crockett Mills, Nicholas Patrick of Halls, Michael Hinson of Newbern and Max Andrews of Humboldt, with Brittany Aden serving as stage manager.

The play focuses on the role that the dining room formerly played in upper class America, and the diminishing of that role throughout several generations. Scenes range from a "Father Knows Best" - type family getting ready for a typical day, a young wife banging away at a typewriter on her husband's family's beloved dining table, a grown brother and sister debating over who should get their recently retired mother's dining room furniture.

The play is scheduled to be presented March 17 – March 19 at 7:30 nightly in the First Citizens National Bank Auditorium in the Campus Activities Building on the Dyersburg campus. Alumni Homecoming

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) has announced that Homecoming festivities have been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13, at the E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium located on the Dyersburg campus.

The DSCC Eagles will take on Motlow State Community College with the men’s game beginning at 2 p.m. and the women’s game beginning at 4 p.m.

DSCC’s Student Government Association (SGA) will crown a Homecoming Queen during halftime of the women’s game. SGA will also sponsor prize giveaways and fun activities throughout the night.

All DSCC alumni are encouraged to attend this annual event. Paid members of the DSCC Alumni Association will be admitted free of charge to the basketball games. Members and their immediate family members are also invited to enjoy the alumni reception room starting at 1:30 p.m. and lasting throughout the last game.

Tickets cost $4 for adults and $1 for children. DSCC faculty, staff and students will be admitted free with a current student ID. Come see the Eagles soar!

African Children's Choir Music Concert
