Elmwood Cemetery Virtual Tour: Join a virtual tour of Elmwood Cemetery via Zoom from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. For almost 170 years, Elmwood Cemetery served as the final resting place for African Americans who lived, loved, worked and contributed to the history of Memphis and the United States. We seek to illuminate the stories of just some of their lives during this 1-hour Zoom presentation given by veteran tour guide, Mable Barringer. Saints, politicians, physicians, musicians, attorneys and more will be featured! Free to students, faculty and staff that register by Feb. 12 by emailing from official DSCC email account with your name and the subject “Elmwood Ticket” to sga@dscc.edu. After Feb. 12, or for others interested in attending, register online for $10 plus a service fee. A Zoom “ticket” will be emailed to each pre-registered participant before the event.
