Political Science
Government is part of the way we live. Students pursuing a Political Science degree will learn how governments work, be they at the local, state, national or world government level. Political science majors offer students a wide range of career opportunities. The major prepares students for further education at the graduate level where they can specialize in a variety of sub-fields. It is an excellent major for students interested in attending law school or seeking government employment upon graduation.
The Political Science emphasis(Tennessee Transfer Pathway) provides the student with transfer credit for the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with either an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree. Work with your transferring institution to determine the best path for you. DSCC offers dual admission opportunities with several universities.
