You do not have to look far to find Coach Robert Luttrell’s accomplishments. He served as head coach for 13 seasons in high school soccer compiling a record of 147-59-14. He’s the first coach in the history of Tipton County to take a high school team to back to back Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) championships. He was honored with the ‘Regional Coach of the Year Award’ ten times during his tenure as head coach of Covington High School over thirteen years. He received the 2018 Tennessee High School Coach of Significance Award by the United Soccer Coaches Organization. The High School Coach of Significance Award acknowledges high school coaches that go above and beyond by using their coaching position to teach life lessons and provide opportunities to develop outstanding young men and women.

In addition to his success in the TSSAA, Coach Luttrell has served as coach to several successful club teams including two state championship titles with the Jackson Futbol Club. He is a long-standing regional representative of the TSSAA Rules Committee for Tennessee. He is proud to have helped numerous athletes move to college soccer careers throughout Tennessee.  He was also named NJCAA region 7 coach of the year for the conference in 2020.

Coach Luttrell married his high school sweetheart Tenille Luttrell and they have three daughters and one son together.

Coach Luttrell looks forward to the opportunity to help build soccer in West Tennessee while helping student-athletes excel in a college environment.
