Paramedic to RN
Are you a paramedic wanting to become an RN?
DSCC's Division of Nursing offers a Paramedic to RN Nursing program. This is a one-year program designed for students who are currently practicing as a paramedic. This program is located at the Jimmy Naifeh Center (JNC) at Tipton County. The program at the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County begins in the spring and completes in the fall of the same year (three semesters). Upon completion, a graduate will be equipped with the knowledge needed to assume the role of a registered nurse and succeed on the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).
Degree plan requirements for the Paramedic concentration by catalog year:
2021-2022, 2020-2021, 2019-2020, 2018-2019, 2017-2018
Due to a continued decrease in applications for the Paramedic-RN Nursing Program at Dyersburg, DSCC will no longer offer this option. Information for the Paramedic-RN Nursing Program at Tipton County can be located to the right.

- required criteria must be completed by the end of the Summer semester
Beginning with the spring 2024 admission, MATH 1530 Introductory Statistics course will be added as a pre-requisite for admission to the Paramedic-RN Nursing Program track.
