Motors and Motor Controls

Motors and Motor Controls introduces electrical motors used in industry.

The student will be instructed in the integrated application of basic electric controls including, starting, reversing, and stopping devices. The class provides introductory theory and application of AC/DC circuits, control transformers and operation of DC power supplies.

The lab provides hands-on instruction in the integrated application of advanced motors and motor controls. Emphasizes variable drives, proximity sensors, and speed control.
