Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will be hosting its Annual Ed Lannom, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament to support DSCC Athletics on Friday, August 15, 2014 at The Farms Golf Club in Dyersburg.  

This annual event is sponsored by the DSCC Athletic program with proceeds benefiting athletic scholarships and program needs.  Last year’s winning team was Dr. John Gardner's team which included team members Dr. John Gardner, Matt Smith, Landon Kersey and Chris Crysler.  They were awarded the coveted crystal College Cup which has been on display for the past year.

In addition to the College Cup, participants have a chance to win cash prizes in special events such as: a Putting Contest (sponsored by Grecian Steak House), a Hole-in-One Contest, a Longest Drive Contest and a Closest to the Pin Contest.  The contest that has garnered the most buzz this year is the chance to win a $1 million prize* (sponsored by White & Associates Insurance).  The top two winners of the Closest to the Pin Contest will have a chance to score a hole-in-one and walk away $1 million* richer.  Also, everyone who registers and pays to play by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13 will be entered into a drawing to win 4 FREE rounds of golf at The Farms Golf Club.  Door prizes, including a gas grill donated by Lowe’s®, will be awarded during the day as well.

Tournament Co-Directors this year include Larry White and Patrick Williams. Members of the DSCC cheerleader, baseball, softball and basketball teams will also be on hand to assist golfers throughout the day.  Lunch is included in the registration cost and will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.  Tournament play will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place teams in two flights.
