PLANNING TO EARN A BACHELOR'S DEGREE?
The CRIMINAL JUSTICE emphasis (Tennessee Transfer Pathway) provides the student with transfer credit for the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement with either an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree. Work with your transferring institution to determine the best path for you. DSCC offers dual admission opportunities with several universities.

The ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE(AAS) - CRIMINAL JUSTICE CONCENTRATION provides students with a wide range of information needed by today's law enforcement and correctional officers.

Typical jobs: Police Officer, Juvenile Officer, Correctional Officer, City/County Jailer, Private Security Agency Investigator, Security Officer, Corrections Officer or juvenile institutional staff member.
The CORRECTIONS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT CERTIFICATE may be just what you need. The coursework for the certificate can be completed in one year and is targeted to those in entry-level positions in law enforcement. This certificate helps students increase their knowledge of the corrections/law enforcement profession while improving human relations and communication skills. Each course in this certificate may be applied to the Criminal Justice degrees listed above.
