PLANNING TO EARN A BACHELOR'S DEGREE?

DSCC has two options for students wanting to pursue a bachelor's degree in an Agriculture-related area.

The AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS emphasis (Tennessee Transfer Pathway) is designed for students seeking education concerning the business aspects of how food and fiber get farm to table and plan to continue their studies at a four-year institution.

Degree Plan Requirements for the Agricultural Business emphasis by catalog year:
2023-2024, 2022-2023, 2021-2022, 2020-2021, 2019-2020

The AGRICULTURE PLANT AND SOIL SCIENCE emphasis (Tennessee Transfer Pathway) is designed for students seeking education in the production aspects of the food and fiber industry and plan to continue their studies at a four-year institution.

Degree Plan Requirements for the Agriculture Plant and Soil Science emphasis by catalog year:
2023-2024, 2022-2023, 2021-2022, 2020-2021, 2019-2020
 

DSCC also offers dual admissions opportunities with several universities.

Typical jobs: The Tennessee Transfer Pathways (TTP's) are designed so that students completing the program can transfer with junior standing to an agriculture program at all public and most private institutions in the State of Tennessee.

NEED TO ENHANCE YOUR CURRENT SKILL SET?

The AGRICULTURE APPLICATIONS CERTIFICATE can be completed in one year. This certificate combines general education courses with agriculture courses. It allows students to attain a general understanding of life sciences while focusing on agriculture. This hands-on certificate is designed for individuals seeking entry-level positions in agribusiness, farming or bio-fuels.

Requirements for the Agriculture Applications Certificate by catalog year:
2019-2020, 2018-2019, 2017-2018, 2016-2017

Typical jobs: Pesticide Applicator, Skilled Farm Worker, and Precision Agriculture positions.
