Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Nathan Daume

Nathan Daume is in his first season as the women’s head basketball coach at Dyersburg State Community College. Daume has spent over 20 years coaching at the college level both as an assistant and as a head coach.  His most recent stop was at Quincy University where he served as the assistant women’s coach from 2011-2016.  Prior to that, he spent 3 years as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Daume’s career started on the men’s side in 1996 as an assistant coach at Fort Scott Community College. He became the women’s head basketball coach at Fort Scott in 1998 and served in that capacity for the next four years.  In May of 2002, Daume was hired as the head coach at Hutchinson Community College. His overall career record as a head coach stands at 160-121.

In 1994, Daume earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Missouri.  His wife Christie is a school psychologist and his stepson William will be graduating from high school next year.

Hanna Box

Hanna Box is in her first season as assistant women’s basketball coach at Dyersburg State Community College. Box played collegiate basketball for Blackburn College (2020-2022) and Dyersburg State Community College (2018-2020).

Hanna began her collegiate career at Dyersburg State. She holds the records for Dyersburg State women’s basketball which are the following: most three-pointers made in a game, best three-point percentage, and most three-pointers made in a season. In her sophomore year at Dyersburg State, her team broke many other records and placed as the tournament runner-up.

After Dyersburg State, Box continued to play collegiate sports at Blackburn College. She played varsity basketball, softball, and ran cross country. At Blackburn College, she served on the basketball team. Hannah graduated from Blackburn College, magna cum laude. She was named to the All-Academic team for every sport she played. She also received the sportsmanship award while on the basketball team at Blackburn College and the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Award while playing softball at Blackburn College.

During her high school days, Hannah coached summer/AAU teams. She played her prep career at Dyer County High School in Newbern, TN.

Hanna earned an Associate of Science degree in Sport & Leisure Management from Dyersburg State Community College in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management with a Minor in Spanish from Blackburn College in 2022.

Hanna currently resides in Dyersburg, TN with her family.
