Yolanda Moody Harris to Speak at DSCC’s Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon

DSCC will host the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Luncheon at noon on January 13.

Yolanda Moody Harris of Dyersburg will serve as guest speaker at the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Luncheon at noon on January 13 at Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) inside the Learning Resource Center (LRC) Sells Family Lobby. The event will be co-hosted by the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce.

Harris is the President and developer of the Non-Profit Efficiency Enrichment House in Dyersburg. Harris graduated from DSCC and the University of Tennessee at Martin with a concentration in Social Work and Education. She served her community in various roles such as National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) youth advisor, Girl Scout leader, HOST Reading, After School Community Programs, United Methodist Women (United Woman of Faith), Young Historians of Bruce, Dyersburg Historical Society, Bruce Alumni Booster Club, and Preserving the History of Bruce School.

Tickets for the luncheon are $20 each and must be purchased in advance by January 11 at the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce or the DSCC Business Office located in the Student Center at the Dyersburg campus.
