Student-Athletes Recognized by TCCAA

All-Conference Team, Pitcher of the Year, Player of the Year and MVP among honors received.

The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) recognized several Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) student-athletes for their performance during the 2020-2021 season. Zane Morehouse of Dawson, Texas, starting pitcher for the DSCC baseball team, was named TCCAA Region VII Pitcher of the Year. His teammate, Drew Reckart of Cincinnati, Ohio, third baseman, was named TCCAA Region VII Player of the Year. During the TCCAA Region VII baseball championship game, Tyner Hughes of Dyer was also named Most Valuable Player (MVP) as he was 13-17 in the four games. In women’s basketball, Ciara Taylor of Memphis was named All-TCCAA Region VII West Freshman of the Year.

In addition, the following 19 student-athletes were named to the TCCAA All-Conference Team:

Softball:

  • Drew Reckart of Cincinnati, OH (third base)
  • Nelson Smith of Ft. Myers, LF (relief pitcher)
  • Kameron Wells of Hattiesburg, MS (designated hitter)

Women’s Soccer:

  • Destiny Ballard of Covington (goal keeper)
  • Jada Lurry of Eads (defender)
  • Madison Luttrell of Covington (forward)
  • Baylee Miller of White House (midfielder)
  • Lyndsie Ralyea of Munford (defender)

Women’s Basketball:
