Pinning Ceremony Held for 47 EMS Graduates

Students graduate from DSCC's EMT, AEMT and paramedic programs

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) honored 47 graduates from the College’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Programs with a pinning ceremony June 13. The ceremony took place inside the Baptist Memorial Health Care Academic Building Auditorium at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County. Recognition was given to the late John Andrew “Andy” Fisher, Jr. who was an adjunct instructor for four semesters at DSCC and recently passed away in January 2019.

Over the past nine years, 256 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), and Paramedic students have been awarded degrees and certificates from DSCC’s EMS programs.

 

The three graduates of DSCC’s Associate of Applied Science Degree/AEMT program included:

  • Atoka – Dustin Travers Pindell
  • Brighton – Tyler Justin Daniels
  • Munford – Shania Taylor Walker

 

The six graduates of DSCC’s Associate of Applied Science Degree/Paramedic program included:

  • Brighton – Lauren Rose Kinney, Jason L. McDonald
  • Covington – Zachary Clayton Cook, Charles Claiborne Max
  • Dyersburg – Melody Ann Pierce
  • Ripley – Cynthia Diane White

 

The seven graduates of DSCC’s AEMT Certificate program included:

  • Atoka – Madison Paige Kolbe
  • Covington – Justin Lee Varner
  • Dyersburg – Casey Lee Newell
  • Gleason – Cason Joe Massey
  • Martin – Daniel Thomas Myers

The 21 graduates of DSCC’s EMT Certificate program included:
