New Student Orientation Dates Set

Students attending summer and fall semesters are encouraged to attend

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will hold new student orientation events for upcoming summer and fall semester students. All new students are required to attend an orientation event. They may complete this requirement in person or by using the online orientation option located inside their MyDSCC portal. As a reminder, first and full session semester classes begin June 3; second session summer classes begin July 8; and fall semester classes begin Aug. 26.

New student orientation will be held in the Student Center on the Dyersburg campus June 11, July 16 and Aug. 13 from 2 - 4 p.m. Orientation will be held inside the Baptist Memorial Health Care Academic Building Auditorium at the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County June 13, July 18 and Aug. 20 from 2-4 p.m. The Gibson County Center will hold orientation Aug. 19 from 2 - 4 p.m.

Students will be able to meet with advisors and instructors, get information about financial aid, tour the campus, learn about academic programs offered, obtain student IDs and parking passes, and learn about student life and organizations. Students, parents and legal guardians are welcome to attend.
