Lady Eagles Continue their Passion

DSCC Graduates Messer and Singleton transferring to play hoops at university-level

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) Athletics has announced that lady eagle basketball players Cloe Messer of Dyersburg and Caroline Singleton of Paris recently signed with Blackburn University and Life University, respectively, to continue playing college basketball.

Messer, a 6’ center from Dyersburg High School, averaged 8 points, 5 rebounds, and shot 50% from the field and 72% from the free throw line per game during her time at DSCC. She plans to continue her pursuit of a degree in Chemistry.

Singleton, a 5’10” guard/forward from Henry County High School, averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, and shot 80% from the free throw line per game during her two years at DSCC. Singleton was named to the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) All-Academic Team and was awarded the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Student-Athlete Award for the 2019-20 season. She majored in Pre-Allied Health.
