DSCC does not provide housing for student-athletes and does not endorse any rental property provider. The links to rental property providers are offered as a convenience to our student-athletes and other interested students.
DSCC adheres to all by-laws of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The following situations are examples of housing assistance that is prohibited by the NJCAA by-laws.
DSCC athletic department staff members may not rent any part of their residence to a member of the College's athletic teams.
DSCC athletic department staff members may not rent property to members of any of the College's athletic teams.
DSCC athletic department staff members may not allow student-athletes to live in their residence at no cost, even for a short period of time.
DSCC athletic department staff members may not collect rent from student-athletes on behalf of a rental property owner to ensure payment.
DSCC may not collect rent or retain any portion of financial aid proceeds from a student-athlete and write a College check to pay a rental property owner.
