Dyersburg State Offering Virtual & In-Person New Student Orientation for Spring Semester

Students planning to attend DSCC this spring can participate in virtual or in-person New Student Orientation.

Students planning to attend Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) this spring can participate in virtual or in-person New Student Orientation. During the orientation events, students can interact with faculty and staff and ask questions. In addition, students will learn more about majors and courses offered, financial aid, student services, tutoring, student life organizations, and register for classes—all in one day. As a reminder, spring semester classes begin January 17.

New Student Orientation events will be held January 4, from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. on the Dyersburg campus inside the Student Center; January 5, from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County inside the Baptist Memorial Health Care Academic Building Auditorium; and virtually on January 12, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

New Student Orientation is required of all new students. Students are encouraged to register and complete orientation early. Students have better class options when building their schedules if they complete orientation early. All new students must complete New Student Orientation by the first week of classes.

Students must schedule an appointment to attend through AppointmentPlus at www.dscc.edu/appointment. Once they have registered, a Zoom link will be sent to their email before the event.
