Dyersburg State Community College On Track for College Program

The program encourages middle school students to explore careers and higher education. Students will experience our beautiful campus and centers while attending the exploratory sessions held in our college classrooms and buildings.

On Track for College is an annual event hosted each year for local eighth-graders attending middle school in DSCC’s service area: Crockett County, Dyer County, Gibson County, Lake County, Lauderdale County, Obion County, and Tipton County. The program encourages middle school students to explore careers and higher education. Students will experience our beautiful campus and centers while attending the exploratory sessions held in our college classrooms and buildings. DSCC faculty and staff host interactive and informative sessions about careers, programs of study, and services.

The On Track for College event will be scheduled at all three DSCC locations. The events are scheduled for Gibson County Center on Friday, April 29 at 8:30 – 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. – noon, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. The Dyersburg campus will host the event Monday, May 9 thru Thursday, May 12 at 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. The Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County will hold the event on Monday, May 16 through Thursday, May 19 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. The cost is free.
