DSCC's 50th Anniversary Reception

Join us Friday, April 12, from 2-5 p.m.

On June 13, 1967, an important decision was made which would ultimately change the lives of thousands of West Tennesseans. It was on this date that the Tennessee State Board of Education selected Dyersburg for the location of the second community college in West Tennessee. Fifty years later, Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will commemorate this milestone with an anniversary reception April 12 from 2 – 5 p.m. The reception will be held inside the Student Center Commons on the Dyersburg campus.

“For the past 50 years, Dyersburg State Community College has been a vital part of the success of West Tennesseans and the communities in which they live,” stated Dr. Karen Bowyer, DSCC president. “This is an exciting time for the College and we look forward to celebrating with past and present faculty and staff, alumni, students and the community.”

Refreshments will be served and photos and memorabilia from the past 50 years will be on display during the reception. All current students, alumni, past and current faculty and staff, and the community are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP to Edith Carlton at 731-286-3300 or carlton@dscc.edu.
