Encouraging students to attend classes this fall and not put their future on hold

The recruitment team at Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) has been busy preparing over 500 swag packages encouraging recent high school graduates to attend classes this fall.

Class of 2020 graduates from Brighton, Covington, Dyer County, Dyersburg, Gibson County, Halls, Lake County, Obion County Central, Peabody, Ripley, South Fulton, South Gibson and Union City High Schools will soon receive a packet, which includes free DSCC gift items such as t-shirts, lanyards, decals, highlighters, and pens.

“We know that our 2020 high school graduates have been faced with many challenges the past few months,” stated Tracie Keith, assistant director of enrollment services. “We wanted to congratulate them on their accomplishments, encourage them to not put their future on hold this fall and reassure them that DSCC is committed to keeping them safe and healthy no matter what the circumstances.”

Fall classes at DSCC will begin Aug. 24. Students are encouraged to check their MyDSCC portal to make sure they are not missing any requirements for admission such as official high school transcripts and ACT scores.
