DSCC Greg Gordon Named NJCAA Third Team All-American

DSCC men’s freshman basketball player Greg Gordon of Coral Spring, FL was named the NJCAA Third-team All-American.

Dyersburg State Community College men’s freshman basketball player Greg Gordon of Coral Spring, FL was named the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Third-team All-American by the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee. Gordon’s accolades included being awarded the Men’s Basketball All-TCCAA Special Awards Freshman of the Year and All-TCCAA Player of the Year.

During the 2021-2022 season, Gordon averaged 22.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game with total points of 685 ranking him fifth in the country. His 307 field goals earned him the No. 1 ranking in the country, and his 12.2 rebounds per game earned him the No. 2 ranking in the country.

“Greg is a phenomenal athlete with high energy and love for the game.  He has a knack for tracking down rebounds.  He has really matured since the first day he stepped on campus and it shows by his vast improvement in the classroom this semester.  The future is very bright for Greg and DSCC basketball!” says Chad Kline, DSCC athletic director, and men’s basketball coach.
