Curtis Crowned Homecoming Queen at Dyersburg State

Dyersburg State Community College crowned its 2022 homecoming royalty on Feb. 12.

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) crowned its 2022 homecoming royalty on Feb. 12 inside the E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium on the Dyersburg campus.

Dr. Scott Cook, President of Dyersburg State Community College, crowned Makayla Curtis of Covington as the new 2022 homecoming queen. Her homecoming court consisted of the first runner-up, Emma York of Ridgely, and second runner-up, Heaven Jordan of Tiptonville.

Homecoming queen Makayla Curtis is a General Studies major who plans to attend a university to continue her education and athletics. Makayla is a member of the DSCC Women’s Soccer Team and a participant in Student Support Services.

First runner-up, Emma York, is a General Studies major and plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin after graduation. Emma participates in Student Support Services.

Second runner-up, Heaven Jordan, is a General Studies major and, upon graduating, plans to find a job in the arts or music. As a student, Heaven participates in Student Support Services.
