ABWA presents check to DSCC President Karen Bowyer
Ninth annual Girls' Night Out event raises $5000

Representatives from the Southern Accent chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) presented a check to Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) President Karen Bowyer June 19 in the amount of $5,000.

The funds were raised during ABWA’s ninth annual Girls’ Night Out fundraiser held at the DSCC E.H. Lannom, Jr. Gymnasium March 14. This event featured local vendors who set up for a fun evening of shopping.

Proceeds from the event will be awarded to DSCC students as scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year. The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
