2021 Homecoming Court Announced

Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) crowned its 2021 homecoming royalty March 29 inside the First Citizens National Bank Auditorium on the Dyersburg campus. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a limited number of close family members were invited to attend.

Dr. Jan Reid-Bunch, vice president for the college, crowned Gwendolynn Todd of Dyersburg as the new 2021 homecoming queen. Her homecoming court consisted of first maid Alycia Mendiola of Ripley and second maid Breonna Howard of Dyersburg.

Homecoming queen Gwendolynn Todd is a first-generation freshman majoring in k-5 education with a focus on math. Gwendolynn works in the DSCC Student Support Services Office as an anatomy, statistics and math tutor and she is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Upon graduation at DSCC, Gwendolynn plans to transfer to the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) to continue her plans of becoming a fourth- or fifth-grade teacher and then to Union University to earn a master’s degree in counseling.

First maid Alycia Mendiola is a freshman majoring in social work. She works at the Learning Resource Center help desk on the Dyersburg campus.

Second maid Breonna Howard is majoring in business management. Upon graduation from DSCC, she plans to transfer to a four-year university to further her business degree. Breonna is a member of the Lady Eagles basketball team and plans to continue as a student-athlete upon transfer.
