Planning to earn a Bachelor's Degree?

The Accounting emphasis (Tennessee Transfer Pathway) is designed to provide the student with the first two years of academic training necessary to complete a  degree in Accounting at a four-year college or university.  DSCC offers dual admission opportunities with several universities.

Degree Plan Requirements for the Accounting emphasis by catalog year:
2023-2024, 2022-2023, 2021-2022, 2020-2021, 2019-2020,

Typical Jobs: Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The accounting environment is changing rapidly. Tennessee law now requires candidates wishing to become certified public accountants to have 150 semester hours of college education--the equivalent of five years at a college or university.

Typical Jobs: Supervisory positions in accounting departments; branch supervisor for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, purchasing and customer sales; assistant controller/comptroller.
